Bauhaus Zine

This zine design features the influential arts of the Bauhaus and New Typography era of design. This zine is be designed in the Bauhaus style and would be produced for a ficitional historical design heirloom edition of Communication Arts Magazine.

The four spreads for the Bauhaus artist Josef Albers were inspired by his stained glass work and “Homage to the Square” series.

All of the pages have intersecting black rectangles that mimic the divides in the stained glass and the black lines used in Bauhaus design. These spreads were done on a square module grid since Albers’ work is based on that geometric form.
