Life Cycle Pattern Design
This fictional Back-to-School series for college students is inspired by Fjallraven’s connection to nature and sustainability. The three products for this line are the Kanken backpack, Kanken Laptop Case 15”, and the Vardag Classic Beanie.
The three patterns are done in a scientific illustrative style found in old scientific journals in the public domain. The patterns feature various bugs and the skull of a European Elk, also known as a Moose, which are all native animals to Sweden to tie back to the origins of Fjallraven.
The skull and bugs were chosen to be a sophisticated representation of an interest in science. They also reference the cycle of life, decomposition, and sustainability.
